Dear colleagues, friends,
It is a true pleasure to invite you all to Amsterdam to the 8th international meeting of The International Society of Vascular Behavioural and Cognitive Disorders. Over the past years we have seen many important developments in our research field. Our intentions are to bring these developments to the clinic. We wish to offer patients a more accurate diagnosis and better treatment.
With the Dutch local organizing team we intend to be a host to translation. As scientist and clinicians from all over the world you may speak different languages, may have different cultural backgrounds and use different methods, but in science we all understand each other. Let’s build bridges and strive for a truly translational meeting, where bench meets bedside, where we inspire each other and come up with new ideas to tackle the vascular burden in cognitive decline and dementia.
We hope to see you in Amsterdam in October!
Geert Jan Biessels, Chairman of the VasCog 2016 Local Organizing Committee
Head of the Utrecht Vascular Cognitive Impairment Study Group, Professor of Neurology, University Medical Center Utrecht
